Day 30....we did over 100 miles because of some construction. Worthington to Mankato. The country to the city. The detours when we got close to the hotel made it a little longer but, the hotel was very nice. Find it very interesting that Minnesota doesn't have all the irrigation for the fields of corn everywhere.
Day 31...Mankato to Rochester, another over 100 mile day. Had a great time riding with some amazing people. Again we had construction issues but we enjoyed the ride anyway. Tomorrow we are onto Wisconsin.
I did 8 each way... to and from work, and cramped up so bad that night that I was thrilled Christopher is a heavy sleeper. Lots of 4 letter words. David on ambien trying to help would have been amusing if I wasn't screaming in pain. Pretty wimpy I'd say. Like I said, it's a start. I'll find that former self in there somewhere! Close family member w now also battling breast cancer. Surgery was today. She's really stubborn... like someone else I know, so she will do just fine. Was not part of her summer plans, though.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to her about family friend. Positive thoughts being sent her way. You will find your former self if you just stick with it. Cramps stick but its part of the ride.... don't stop biking a little more each day, and you know cramping is a lack of fluid.....
