Day 40......LEAVING the USA and going into Canada. We got up before the sun....as always, breakfast, load and on the road...This day was a little different than usual as we needed to cross the bridge as a group because they CLOSE the bridge to car traffic...So, getting a group of 40 people together to ride.....challenging to say the least. Once we got onto the bridge things moved along. We did have to get off our bikes to walk them across the expansion joints. A little tricky with cycling shoes on. Once over and into Canada not a one of us could complain about the road conditions. The roads were totally awesome!!!! Smoothest roads we have been on since the start of the trip. I had hoped that the roads would allow the swelling in my left hand to go down. Sadly, it isn't. Finally called orthopedic in NH. Appointment scheduled for Tues after I get back. :)
