Day 38..... Mount Pleasant to Birch Run.  Lots of farm lands and quite back roads. What I do find very interesting is that in every one of these little back road towns we ride through on Main Street the American flag is proudly displayed on every other telephone pole or light post. All the farms have flags flying on the front lawns. I spoke to a few local residents and the pride that they have about this great country of ours is truly amazing. Sadly, they are under appreciated for all the hard work they do daily. Everyone of these farmers are up at the crack of dawn and work till sunset. Yet, they have the same issues in their schools....should the pledge be said in the schools....
