Day 36....active rest day. Ride 3.5 miles to the SS Badger to take us across Lake Michigan. We got to sleep in till 8....Loaded luggage into the vans at 10, needed to be at the pier at 12:30. Took a leisure ride into town, had lunch at this really cute little wrap shop and arrived at the pier with time to spare. Loaded bikes onto the boat and took seats on the top deck. Being a New Englander, the breeze and temps of 70 made me very happy. We had a lounge chair party during our 4 hour cruise. We crossed into the Eastern time zone finally. Only 14 days till we will reach the atlantic. Once we arrived in Ludington MI we road 3 additional miles to our hotel. We arrived at 7pm checked in and tried very hard to get to sleep early as we needed to be up at 5:30 for breakfast, load at 6:30 and on the road....
